Newly diagnosed · About 12 weeks
Diagnosed six weeks earlier, drowning in leaflets, browser tabs, and conflicting advice, and unable to work out which of twenty possible changes mattered first.
Composite journey. This story is assembled from patterns our providers see repeatedly, not from one identifiable member. Details are illustrative.
The Wholeness Pathway Quiz produced a ranked snapshot across all nine dimensions. Rest and emotional load scored far below nutrition, which had absorbed nearly all the worry so far. Nothing was changed in the first fortnight beyond agreeing what to ignore.
A three-question method replaced the long list — the three most important questions read out at the start of each appointment, with answers written down in the room. A second person attended where possible.
Sleep was addressed first because it was lowest and most tractable: a fixed end-of-day time, an early-evening worry window, and getting out of bed after twenty minutes awake.
Only after sleep stabilized did a nutrition practitioner build a plan around the actual treatment schedule — cook list and no-cook list, one weekly shop, no overhaul.
Quick answers
Resist changing everything at once. Score yourself across every wellness dimension first, then pick the lowest-scoring area you have real control over and change one thing inside it. Simultaneous changes reliably fail and the failure is discouraging.
Constrain it rather than banning it — a fixed, time-limited window, and a rule that questions get written down for a clinician rather than resolved online. Most people find the compulsion eases once appointments start producing real answers.

Treatment finishing is widely assumed to be the good part. For many people it is the point at which structure disappears, appointments stop, and nobody is checking in any more.
